the song titles are funniest yet. it's less noisy and more musical and there are no low growls on it it's good.

majestic sounding d&d black metal. sounds like the soundtrack to conan the destroyer at times. pretty fucking good.
HAEMORRHAGE: anatomical inferno
decent grindcore. nothing to write home about. guitars could use more distortion. pitch shifted vocals. i'm guessing this is going for gore grind but falls short.
DEVOURMENT: molesting the decapitated
fucking excellent gore grind. amazing speed. low low guitars, low low growls. i dig it. you will too.
SIGH: hail horror hail
pretty out there black metal, i mean yes it is black metal in parts but then it sounds like the final fantasy soundtrack and weird 40's music they have a warning on the back saying that if you don't understand it you're basicly stupid but this is kind of pretentious in it's "oh look at how musical and spastic we can be" posturing. i like parts of it and think other parts suck. in particular the shitty cock rock opening title track, what the fuck is up with that? but overall it's okay. actually parts of it are really fucking good.
INCANTATION: the forsaken mourning of angelic anguish
above par death metal. there's this one cool part where they slow the tape down in the studio to almost a stop, so it's ultra low, and then snap back into the song. that's probably the best song on here. not ground breaking but certainly good.
DISCORDANCE AXIS: complete soundworks
this is a discography of sorts of their hard to find shit. pretty fucking good. lots of live shit and practice tapes and junk.
PIG DESTROYER: explosions in ward 6
pig destroyer have found their sound and it's pretty fucking good. my only complaint is this cd is like 15 minutes long. but it's a good fucking 15 minutes.
KRISIUN: black force dominion
krisiun are thee best band in the world, they are fucking rediculously fast and technical they are from brazil, the guitarist and the drummer are brothers and they are seriously thee best guitarist and drummer in the world. i cannot stress enough how essential this is. the solo's are unbelivable. this one is slightly less hi fi than the other one.
KRISIUN: apocalyptic rebirth
i think this one is even faster and definately has better production. these are the new masters.
BURNING WITCH: crippled lucifer
never have i heard a band name that so fits a band as burning witch, the fucking guy sounds like a goddamn burning witch! excellent doom sludge comlimented by some of the most tortured vocals i've heard since bethlehem. this cd is long, which is good.
IMMORTAL: at the heart of winter
amazing follow up to "blizzard beasts", not quite as fast but certainly not slow, catchier riffs. majestic.
